Riley Eldredge is the Director of MFS-CASH Oregon and started working on the CASH Oregon project in 2016. Riley has long been passionate and interested in work around economic justice. He has been involved with non profit administration specifically within economic empowerment programs for over 10 years. He first started as an Americorps serving with the Oregon State Service Corps with a project centered on small business development in Portland. Since then he has held many positions ranging from overseeing small business technical assistance, grant programs, to organizing free tax preparation.
Riley grew up outside of Portland in a small town in the Mt Hood National forest. He went to school at the University of Oregon where he received his Bachelor’s degree. Upon graduating Riley had the opportunity to teach English abroad for several years with ages ranging from 3 to 65. When not at work you can find Riley spending quality time with his two cats, cheering on the Timbers, and geeking out on maps + history + vexillology.

Magaly joined MFS CASH Oregon in January of 2018 after completing a career in diplomacy. As Program Operations Manager, Magaly makes sure all tax sites are ready, equipped and supported to provide such an important volunteer tax preparation service to families who need it most. Some of Magaly’s hobbies include traveling, trying new foods from around the world, wine testing and salsa dancing.

Malik joined MFS CASH Oregon in the Fall of 2021 as Program Operations Coordinator, and transitioned into the role of Virtual Tax Services Coordinator in Summer of 2022. In his position, he maintains CASH Oregon’s Virtual tax site and acts as Site Coordinator for virtual volunteers. Outside of his role, Malik enjoys playing guitar, watching Stand-up comedy, and spending time with friends. Malik feels most impactful in his role when he has the opportunity to build rapport with volunteers and clients.

Community Outreach Coordinator II

Amanda joined MFS CASH Oregon as a Volunteer Recruitment & Resources Coordinator in January 2022, and moved into her current role of Community Outreach Coordinator II in September 2023. Her focus in this role is on community outreach, volunteer recruitment, and organizing educational workshops and pop-up tax sites. Outside of the office, Amanda can often be found doing yoga, visiting farmer’s markets, and petting as many dogs as possible (though not all at once). Her favorite part of working for MFS CASH Oregon is helping shed light on how powerful taxes can be as a means of uplifting low-income families.

Jo joined the CASH team in September of 2022 as the Program Training Coordinator. She builds and manages training programs for tax preparation certification, including an online training course. Jo helps guide volunteers from recruitment to volunteering via both virtual and in person training courses. When not working on training, Jo plans volunteer engagement events, and participates on several DEI committees within MFS. Jo is bilingual in English and Spanish, and has lived in Spain and Argentina. When not at work, Jo loves spending time with her cats, reading, working on jigsaw puzzles and playing board games. Her favorite part of working with MFS CASH Oregon is collaborating with volunteers all over the state, and getting to make taxes and tax law more accessible.
