MFS CASH Oregon’s Equity Statement

MFS CASH Oregon is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion both in our direct service work and organizationally. We will strengthen our internal diversity, equity, and inclusive capacity internally in order to better serve a diverse group of clients in a culturally responsive manner.

In pursuit of economic justice, we commit to improve our understanding of the historical forces that created and reinforce disparities in access to financial capability resources and wealth, based upon intersecting social identities and systems of oppression, domination, and discrimination. Recognizing the intersections of race, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, religion, and age, we will continue to evaluate our own policies and procedures with an eye towards greater equity. In turn, as we increase our internal equity, diversity, and inclusion, we will become more effective leaders in promoting the same principles through our programs, outreach, and advocacy work.
